I started by ink blending a panel of Hammermill cardstock using Sunbeam, Cantaloupe and Peony Ink. Then heat embossed with Gold embossing powder.įor the sentiment I’m using the Hey Girl wafer die. I stamped the Star to Star background stamp onto Hammermill cardstock using Versamark ink. I personally do not collect any information for any marketing purposes.I’m making my sentiment the star of the show but first, I need to create my background. facebook, instagram, google, flickr, pinterest. It could quite easily be adapted for other themes by changing up the colours – using blue to make it look like bubbles for a watery background, for example. I think it works really well with these bees as it has a honeycomb feel to it. The bubble wrap background technique gives such a fun look to this card, and it’s a great way to make use of what you have on hand when creating. ![]() I used Limoncello to tie in with the rest of the card. The final touch on this card was the addition of some Nuvo Drops. The bees are also from the Bee Yourself stamp set. ![]() I then popped the panel up on foam tape onto the card base, before adding a pair of bees which I’d previously stamped, coloured and fussy cut. I trimmed it down and adhered it with Tombow Mono Multi Liquid glue to my bubble wrap panel. I pulled out the honeycomb stamps from Simon Says Stamp’s Bee Yourself stamp set and stamped onto the card base with Barely Beige ink, for a very subtle look.įor my sentiment I white heat embossed “we bee-long together” from the same stamp set onto a piece of black card. I also decided to add a little texture to the background. I wasn’t entirely happy with the colour of the panel against the card base so I used some more Wild Honey and a stencil brush to add some light colour to the edge of the panel. I picked out a cream card for my card base and worked out where I wanted to put the bubble wrap panel on it. I put the second panel aside and used the first panel for my card. I also then spritzed the bubble wrap with water and picked up the resulting ink with another panel of watercolour paper, which created a slightly different look. I cut a panel of bubble wrap, inked it up with Wild Honey Distress Oxide, then pressed a cut down panel of watercolour paper onto it, as if using a background stamp. This is really easy to do but makes for a fun and interesting design. My focus with this card was creating the bubble wrap background.
